1st baby on the year will speak Spanish

It appears that the first baby born in Sherbrooke will be bilingual, French and Spanish. The baby named Raphaël was born January 1st, early in the afternoon. Marie-Pierre, the French Canadian mother, and Nelson, the Cuban Father, met during a trip to Cuba a few years ago.

Marie-Pierre has since learned Spanish; knowledge that will surely be passed on the little Raphaël. The family now lives in Quebec, so he will have the opportunity to speak two languages!
